Central Face: The focal point is a large, commanding mask carved from dark wood. It is sharply defined by light wood accents that form stepped, geometric patterns around the hollowed eyes and cheeks. The face features a prominent, straight nose, an open mouth, and a chin decorated with a scale or petal-like interlocking pattern.

Crown & Top Motif: Resting above the central face is a prominent, stepped pyramid structure. The pyramid uses alternating bands of dark and light wood to emphasize its architectural tiers and block-like construction.

Left Flank: Tucked into the upper left side is a detailed profile of a human face with traditional features. Directly below the face is a stylized, open-jawed serpent or animal head facing outward, exposing sharp fangs.

Right Flank: The right side is framed by an elaborate serpentine figure. A serpent's head sits near the top, and its body—detailed with a deeply carved, cross-hatched scale pattern—curves down the side. The body terminates at the bottom right with another fierce, stylized animal head featuring a wide-open jaw.

Technique & Finish: Unlike its painted counterparts, this piece relies on the natural warmth of the wood and a high-contrast staining technique. The juxtaposition of the deep, rich brown stain against the pale, natural wood inlays create a profound sense of depth and emphasizes the multi-dimensional relief of the carving.
