Handcrafted, polychrome cedar wooden sculpture inspired by Mesoamerican iconography, specifically evoking the imagery of a Mayan Jaguar Warrior.
- It comes in two main sizes: 23"x17"x8" or 20"x15"x8
- This sculpture can stand firmly in a flat surface, or it can be hand on wall. It comes with a strong hook ready to be attached to a wall.
- 100% hand carved by an Artesano from Chiapas Mexico.
The Jaguar Headdress: The outer shell of the sculpture is a stylized jaguar head with its jaws wide open. It is painted a vibrant yellow with black spots, featuring prominent carved white fangs and turquoise-colored eyes.
The Internal Mask: Nestled within the jaguar's mouth is a human-like face. This inner mask is decorated with a geometric, mosaic-like pattern in various shades of green and lime, mimicking the appearance of jade.
Ornamentation: The figure is adorned with traditional-style earspools. Below these are red, spherical accents followed by turquoise tassels or pendants, adding a sense of status and ceremonial importance to the piece.
